Cleaning and Stain Removal
Most beaded purses are dirty from years of accumulated dust. The dust and dirt settles inside the bead holes and in the threads holding the purse together. Some purses can be cleaned without removing the frame. Others would require frame and lining removal before cleaning.
Purses with stains can be cleaned, and the stains can often be removed so well that there is no evidence that a stain ever existed. This enzymatic soaking may require several days to produce good results.
Wetting purses will occasionally open small holes where the purse was weak, and may have eventually opened anyway. Because I am skilled at hole repair, I can repair any holes that may occur.
When asked to use my judgment, I will not risk any cleaning if I believe it could damage the purse more than it would help.
A simple cleaning, without frame and lining removal, is $15.
Frame and lining removal and replacement, along with cleaning, is $50. Hole repairs are charged by the hour, but most tiny holes take very little time.
Enzymatic stain removal, without frame/lining removal, is $20, and with frame/lining removal is $50.
Also, purse frames can be mechanically polished. The cost runs $15-20, depending upon the time and effort required.
